**************************************************************** * XBRL US Record of Credit Ratings Sample Files * **************************************************************** There are ten sets of sample files for the XBRL US Record of Credit Ratings Taxonomy. The samples represent a variety of rating information that is supported by the taxonomy. All information provided is for example purposes only. Each sample represents data from one of five sample nationally recognized statistical rating organizations (NRSRO). A sample may represent a combination of rating types or selected rating types issued by the NRSRO. The table below lists the samples: Sample Rating Agency Rating Type +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO A | Corporate Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO A | Insurance Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO B | Asset Backed Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO B | Financial and Corporate Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO C | Combined Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO D | Combined Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO E | Asset Backed Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO E | Corporate Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO E | Financial Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ | NRSRO E | Government Ratings | +-----------------------+----------------------------------+ To reduce the size of filings, rating instance documents are broken down into a set of "scoped" instance documents. This process is described in the US Record of Credit Ratings Publication Guide (http://www.sec.gov/xbrl/site/us-rocr/2009/us-rocr-publication-guide.pdf). The samples include the single large instance document as well as the set of scoped instances for each sample. The sample for sample rating agency "NRSRO A" is not large enough to require being broken down, so only the "scoped" version is included, which is a single instance file. In addition, each sample includes a comma separated values (csv) file of the data that is contained in the sample. Files ending in "_single.zip" are the large single instance document for that sample. Files ending in "_scoped.zip" are the set of "scoped" instance documents based on the large single instance document. Files ending in "_csv.zip" or just ".csv" are the csv files.
